Mini Speedster announced

Mini have followed on the heels of the TT Speedster with their own version of a very cool two seater drop top that should see its entry level model based around the rapid Cooper S version. Mini have been looking at a number of ways to expand their brand recently and this Speedster option comes after the recent Crossman 4×4 model was released. The platform the Speedster will use is based on the present convertible model but will see it abandon the small and generally poor rear seats. This model is set to be a styling classic, with a number of features to thrill car enthusiasts including roll hoops, and aggressive and wide stance and pumped out wheel arches it also retains the Cooper S twin exhausts, bonnet vent and tail lights. It will be fitted with an electric folding fabric roof similar to the Mini convertible to reduce weight but a removable hard top option will also be available.
